1. How We Collect and Use Personal Data

1.1 Account Services

1.1.1 Registration and Login

You may register and log in via third-party account authorization. Based on your authorization, we obtain public information from the third-party platform (avatar, nickname) and information you actively authorize (such as phone number) to bind and create your dedicated account for quick registration, login, and basic service use. In some scenarios, to verify account authenticity, we will verify and bind your mobile number. After authorized login, you may edit account basics such as avatar and nickname without affecting normal account use. A mobile number is necessary for network real-name verification. If you refuse to provide it, we cannot provide core services such as generation, content publishing, and interactive features, though certain basic browsing features may still be available. With your explicit consent, you may use one-tap binding via carrier capabilities without password or SMS verification. This shortcut is optional and not mandatory.

If you forget how to log in, email feedback@reeltube.com for assistance. To protect account security, we may need to verify your identity and, where necessary, conduct real-name verification.

1.1.2 Public Account Information

You may edit public information such as avatar and nickname. Not completing this information does not affect full use of the Services. Information you choose to make public will be displayed when you use interactive or publishing features.

1.2 Content Generation Services

1.2.1 Service Scope

Using third-party AI model technology, we provide AI content generation for images, audio/video, and text. To deliver these features, we collect only text prompts, images, audio/video, and other materials you actively input, upload, or select, to analyze and generate content matching your needs. Subject to strict de-identification, encryption, and inability to re-identify a specific individual, we may use such de-identified data to iterate AI models and improve service quality. Features such as media import/export, digital humans, and portrait generation require your authorization for album, camera, and/or microphone access. If you refuse, only the related feature is unavailable; other services remain usable. Materials containing faces or voices are used only to produce the requested output, not for identity recognition or verification, in line with Hong Kong personal data use-limitation principles.

1.2.2 Models and Algorithms

Within the product you may view information about connected models, including application scenarios, algorithmic principles, operating mechanisms, and filing information, to protect your right to know and to choose.

1.3 Content Browsing

When you browse product content, we record basic usage data: while logged out, via anonymous device identifiers for browse, click, download, share, and feedback actions; while logged in, linked to your account.

When playing video and similar content, we may access gravity, gyroscope, and accelerometer sensor data solely to adapt portrait/landscape display, and we do not collect or retain unrelated device data.

1.4 Publishing

Uploading or publishing images or audio/video requires album, microphone, and/or camera permission. Refusal only disables publishing; other services remain available. Published content defaults to showing your public nickname, avatar, and similar information.

To improve the content ecosystem and experience, we may statistically analyze duration, views, engagement, and frequency of publicly published works, retain only de-identified statistics, and may display aggregated public summaries without identifying or disclosing any user's personal data.

1.5 Personalized Recommendations

To show and recommend more relevant information and services that better match your needs, the platform may collect and use your personal information and use algorithmic models to infer preferences and match content or services you may find interesting.

  1. Scope: Personalized recommendations may include, without limitation, inspiration templates or audio/video content.
  2. Data fields: We may collect and use device information; behavioral data from your use of the product (clicks, publishing, usage, likes, browsing, downloads, shares, interactions, and transactions); account profile information you provide (nickname, avatar, etc.); and other information collected from the product with your authorization or provided by partners. The system analyzes this information to predict preference traits and deliver personalized content and services.
  3. Training and intervention: We may train and adjust recommendation models in real time based on browsing and related behavior. To diversify results and avoid over-concentration of similar content, we use various automated content-processing techniques. You may turn off related authorizations; we will then not process your personal information for personalized recommendation purposes and will only show general content unrelated to your preferences. If you believe a decision in personalized recommendations was made solely by automated means and materially affects your lawful rights, you may contact feedback@reeltube.com for an explanation and may refuse decisions made solely through automated decision-making.

1.6 Other Features

1.6.1 Notifications

We may send necessary notices such as account verification, security alerts, service updates, and user research via your reserved contact methods or system notifications. You may opt out via SMS unsubscribe channels, product settings, or by contacting us.

1.6.2 Customer Service

To handle inquiries, complaints, troubleshooting, and feedback, we use—on a minimum-necessary basis—your account information, operation logs, identity verification information, and contact details you provide. We retain communication records and resolution notes for follow-up, improvement, and user protection, not for unrelated purposes. Voluntary survey feedback is retained for service improvement.

1.7 Operations and Security

To keep the product stable, prevent security risks and abuse, and protect all users' lawful interests, we collect necessary device and log data:

  1. Basic device data: hardware model, OS version, compliant anonymous device identifiers, IP address, network type, WLAN access information, software version, etc.;
  2. Operations and security data: operation logs, runtime status, crash and performance data, install and run status, access frequency, etc.;
  3. Risk verification data: combined with account, device, and service logs for account security checks, risk detection, violation investigation, and security incident handling to prevent fraud and attacks;
  4. Other information necessary for the above purposes.

1.8 Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar device identifiers are commonly used on the Internet. When you use the product and related services, we may send one or more Cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device to collect and identify information about your access and use. We will not use Cookies for purposes beyond those in this Privacy Policy. We use Cookies and similar technologies mainly to:

  1. Secure and efficient operation: confirm safe login, detect theft, fraud, or other unlawful acts, and improve efficiency, login, and response speed;
  2. Easier access: reduce repeated entry of personal information or search content;
  3. Recommend and display content or accounts you may like: understand preferences and habits, analyze data, improve services, and optimize content choices;
  4. On share pages, record browsing activity to recommend information, diagnose crashes or latency, and explore better service approaches;
  5. Clearing Cookies: most browsers let you clear cache/Cookie data in settings; after clearing, Cookie- dependent features may become unavailable.

1.9 Changes to Services

If product updates change the purpose, method, or scope of personal data processing, we will notify you in advance via pop-ups, announcements, or in-app messages. Changes requiring authorization will seek your consent again as required by law.

1.10 Processing Without Consent Where Permitted by Law

Please understand that, under applicable laws and regulations, we may process personal information without your consent in the following cases:

  1. Necessary to perform our service agreement with you or respond to your service requests;
  2. Necessary to fulfill statutory duties or cooperate with judicial investigation or regulatory checks;
  3. To respond to public emergencies or protect life and property in emergencies;
  4. For lawful news reporting or public-opinion supervision in the public interest, within a reasonable scope;
  5. Processing personal data you have made public yourself or that has been lawfully made public;
  6. Other circumstances permitted by laws and Hong Kong privacy compliance rules.

Fully de-identified and anonymized datasets that cannot be re-identified are not subject to the privacy ordinance and may be used for product optimization and R&D.

2. Partners Involved in Data Use, and Transfer or Disclosure of Personal Data

2.1 Basic Principles for Partner Data Processing

When working with partners, we follow these principles:

  1. Lawfulness: Data processing activities must be lawful.
  2. Legitimate purpose and minimum necessity: Data use must have a legitimate purpose and be limited to what is necessary.
  3. Security and prudence: We carefully assess partners' purposes and security capabilities and require compliance with contractual terms. We strictly monitor SDKs and APIs used by partners to obtain information, to protect data security.

2.2 Cooperative Processing Scenarios

2.2.1 Functional Service Partners

To deliver services, we may share de-identified or minimally necessary personal data with compliant partners:

  2. Marketing campaigns: with your consent when you participate, share necessary contact and shipping details for rewards; share de-identified device data to prevent cheating and ensure fairness;
  3. Customer service: partners use only necessary account information and feedback to respond to inquiries and complaints;
  4. Payments: provided by compliant third-party payment institutions; real-name and bank card data are used only as needed for payment verification. Refusal disables payment only, not other services.

2.2.2 Security and Analytics Partners

We work with compliant providers using de-identified logs and anonymous device data for account security, troubleshooting, stability analysis, and UX improvement. We may collaborate with research institutions and universities using fully anonymized data for AI research, without risk of disclosing personally identifiable information.

2.3 Change of Operating Entity

In a merger, acquisition, asset transfer, or similar change, user personal data will be transferred to the successor entity.

2.5 Disclosure Rules

We will not proactively disclose personal data you have not made public, except with your explicit consent or where required by laws, courts, or regulators.

2.6 Exemptions from Authorization

Exemptions for partner processing, transfers, and disclosures align with Section 1.10 and comply with Mainland China and Hong Kong privacy requirements as applicable.

3. Managing Your Personal Data

Beyond general user rights, we protect your ability to manage your personal data. Withdrawing authorization does not affect processing lawfully conducted before withdrawal.

3.1 Self-Service Settings

3.1.1 System Permissions

You may enable/disable camera, album, microphone, notifications, and other permissions in device or in-product settings at any time. Upon withdrawal, we will stop related collection and processing.

3.1.2 Personalized Recommendations

Under law, you may submit requests via the designated contact email. We will respond within statutory time limits to access, withdrawal, and related requests.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may apply to delete your account in the account center. Deletion is irreversible. After deletion, we will delete all your personal data or forcibly anonymize what cannot be deleted, and will not use it for commercial or intelligent processing, except where retention is required by law.

4. How We Protect the Security of Personal Data

We apply industry-grade technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

4.1 Technical Measures

We use encryption, de-identification, anonymization, and other reasonable measures at least at common industry levels, and security mechanisms to defend against malicious attacks.

4.2 Management Measures

We maintain dedicated security functions, policies, and data-security processes. Strict access controls limit personal data access to authorized personnel. We provide regular security training and periodic audits, maintain incident response plans, and activate them immediately upon a personal information security incident to contain impact. If a leak, alteration, or loss occurs or may occur, we will notify you as required by law of the categories of data involved, causes, possible harm, remedies we have taken, steps you can take, and how to contact us—via push, email, letter, SMS, or similar means, or by public announcement when individual notice is impracticable. We will also report to regulators as required.

4.3 Security Notice

Despite reasonable measures and legal standards, no Internet system can guarantee 100% security. We will strive to keep personal information you provide secure.

Systems and networks you use to access our Services may be affected by factors beyond our control. We strongly recommend proactive steps such as not sharing your account or personal information with others. Once you leave our product to use third-party products or services, we cannot and have no direct obligation to protect information you submit to those third parties, whether or not you reached them via our links. We will warn you when you are about to enter a third-party service so you can better protect your information.

5. How We Store Personal Information

5.1 Storage Location

To provide the Services, we transfer and store your personal data in Singapore. We have agreements with Singapore data processors that meet Hong Kong legal requirements so your data receives protection comparable to Hong Kong standards abroad.

5.2 Retention Period

5.2.1 We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the product or services, for example:

  1. Mobile number: after binding, we retain it to provide normal service, handle inquiries and complaints, and protect account and system security;
  2. Content you publish and related information, retained to provide ongoing features.

5.2.2 After account deletion, proactive deletion of personal information, or expiry of the necessary retention period, we delete or anonymize the information, except where:

  1. Laws require retention;
  2. Finance, audit, dispute resolution, or similar needs reasonably require a longer period.

6. Minors

The product is primarily intended for adults, but we take minors' personal information seriously.

  1. If you are under 18, read and agree to this Privacy Policy with your parent or guardian before registering, logging in, or using the Services.
  2. If you are a guardian, accompany and guide the minor to read and agree to this Policy before use.
  3. We protect minors' personal information under applicable laws and collect, use, share, or disclose it only as permitted by law, with clear parental/guardian consent, or as necessary to protect the minor. If we learn we collected a minor's information without verifiable prior consent, we will seek to delete it promptly.
  4. Guardians with questions about a minor's personal information should contact us using the details in this Policy.
